The Power Of Awareness

Have you ever noticed that when you have a thought about yourself, you find situations that validate the thought?

For instance, if you say, “I am angry all the time”, you will begin to react to situations with anger as if it’s almost natural for you to do so. Now you have proof to validate that thought. And so, you say it again and continue the cycle.

That’s the power of your mind. You become whatever you think.

Neville Goddard in his book ‘The Power of Awareness’ talks about breaking this cycle and making the most of the infinite power of our minds.

He says that our body is of finite nature, but our consciousness is infinite. So, when we focus on only satisfying our physical senses, we are wasting our potential. That means you have infinite potential to achieve great things once you remove self-sabotaging concepts from your mind and become determined to rise to higher levels of consciousness.

Keep in mind that the first copy of this book came out in 1952 when the Universal Laws weren’t really spoken about as much in the Western world. That’s why this book is considered one of the best in its category and subject. It talks deeply about The Law of Assumption and how our minds shape our reality.

“You, by your concept of yourself, determine your present and your future.”

~Neville Goddard

But growing into this awareness and raising your consciousness to bring abundance into your life, is not easy. Many people read self-help books and listen to motivating speeches, but when it comes to actually taking action, they don’t do it.

Think about how many amazing business ideas you’ve had. You were desperate to change your financial and professional situation and become a business owner. But when you saw the risk it would entail, you decided to hold out on the idea for a bit longer. And until now, it hasn’t happened.

Simply wanting to change is not enough, you must have a strong desire that translates into actions. And Goddard emphasizes that by reminding us that we have the free will to choose the course of our life. So, if you’re in a situation that you don’t like, stop thinking about yourself as the victim. You’re doing a disservice to your worth by doing that. Step into your true power and choose the life you want to live.

Ultimately your level of awareness about your potential will determine how far you go in life.

And if it’s the truth that you have infinite potential, what’s stopping you from making the most of it?
